This is an actual, real life version of Homeward Bound mixed in with every happy/sad dog movie ever and I may cry.
A Swedish team participating in the Adventure Racing World Championship, which is a 430 mile long stage race through the Amazon, ended up adopting a dog.
With just two stages to go (which would end up taking six days), team member Mikael Lindnord fed a scruffy dog a meatball, and gained a new best friend.
The dog, now named Arthur, followed the team through mud and up hills, and became an integral member.
The good news is that Arthur is on his way to Sweden to start a happy new life.
Please pass me the Kleenex.
