VICE News is always great at unravelling the mysteries of the under world, and they generally tend to go deeper and darker into their investigation than any other news channel.
Tania Rashid, is a VICE News correspondent who traveled to Sylhet, Bangladesh, and met with both perpetrators and victims of rape, as well as local police (Who are useless), to find out what is driving Bangladeshi men to rape and abuse women, and how the world could put an end to this violence. I am not quite sure how safe it was for her, but you have to commend her commitment and persistence to finding a solution to this problem, even in the face of immediate danger.
Many Bangladesh men admit to having committed rape. Although it is a crime punishable by death, there are no accurate government figures for rape in Bangladesh, largely due to social stigma and a failure by local authorities to investigate alleged crimes.
