There is nothing worse than when you leave the pre-drinks venue only to get into a cab and there is no music. The vibe dies down to that of a tumbleweed crossing a deserted American gold rush town, and you almost have to start all over again when you get to your destination.

But of course Uber has thought ahead and quelled the little problem.
How are they going to do this?
Why, by allowing you to stream your Spotify playlist in the Uber. Oh, hello, partay in mah car.
“For Uber it’s the first time we’ve personalized the experience inside the car, and for music lovers, that’s nirvana,” said Uber CEO Travis Kalanick. “Obviously as with most of our features, they kick off on Friday nights. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun as well.”
All you need to do is link your Uber and Spotify apps and then the Uber app will prompt them to “play from their Spotify accounts if the car that’s arriving has opted to use the feature. Their Spotify music will play in the car’s speakers when it arrives for pickup”.
So ridiculously cool.
