Imagine winning the lottery. Well, I mean, we have all imagined it, but what if you actually won? It’s entirely possible. You just have to actually buy tickets and play the game.
Like this guy – Dean Allen. He was 26 when he won £13 861 061.00 back in 2000.
It all could have turned pear shaped (in my imagination I would spend that on buying small islands and sleek cars and traveling the world) but Dean had sound advice from lawyers, financial advisers and his mum.
If you were coming up with the ideal support group for a lottery winner, you’d have someone from Camelot, a great lawyer and a brilliant financial adviser. Oh, and the other person you need on that panel? Your mum. Because your mum wouldn’t let you get away with anything.
Dean went on to marry his girlfriend and have two daughters.
On how he spends his millions?
We’re careful, but we’re not cautious. We enjoy our life, but we don’t blow the doors off. Not too often, anyway.
And how does Dean spend his days now? He counsels “new jackpot winners through their first giddy weeks”. Which is lovely of him. He has also invested in commercial property and companies on the stock exchange, but still eats with his wife at Pizza Hut.
Pretty clever guy. Imagine the growth on that amount with some compound interest and clever investments…Consequence Private Wealth would defs help that amount grow to an extent where your grand-children can casually retire at the age of one. Give them a call and start growing your own wealth, it is never too early, nor too late, to start.
