It seems that Czech fugitive, Radovan Krejcir, and OP are becoming the tightest of mates in Kgosi Mampuru prison in Pretoria.
It would seem that Krejcir asked for a treadmill and a bicycle when he was imprisoned, to keep his fitness level to, you know, tip top shape (as you can see from pictures of him). His equipment was offered to Oscar Pistorius on arrival, without Krejcir’s consent, but luckily, when you’re inmates, you sometimes become besties.
Krejcir said:
I did not object to Mr Pistorius utilising my equipment after he arrived at this facility and in fact Mr Pistorius and I started training together.
Sweet man.
But listen to this. Krejcir has a TV, “memory sticks containing entertainment and news with subtitles in his mother tongue, reading material and trial notes…”. He has also been deprived of speaking to other inmates as there might be health risks involved, such as pox and TB. Bleak for Oscar.
Well, to me, Kgosi Mampuru is quite the prison to be in. I guess it’s a matter of time before they’re allowed to have Segways, paintball guns and Xbox in their cells…
