At the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, the Russian president draped a shawl over Chinese First Lady Peng Liyuan.
Naturally, China almost went into a national state of emergency over this, with Chinese media sites censoring the clearly graphic, XXX-rated footage.

It’s hardly anything, really. I would expect someone to drape my shoulders with a shawl if there was a nip in the air. Not in China, buddy.
So what if Putin is actually trying to win some favour?
Ahead of the APEC summit, much ink was devoted the extant challenges of an American strategic courtship of China. Russia’s ambassador to the United States threw down the gauntlet last week, tweeting “You are pivoting to Asia, but we’re already there.”
