So, Oscar Pistorius is getting his own bath installed in the Kgosi Mampuru Prison in Pretoria. Apparently it is “difficult for him to shower”.

“Because of his disability, it is easier for him to take a bath where he is away from the rest of the prisoners.”

Currently, the bath is intended for just Oscar to use, but will be available for other inmates in the future.

Correctional services spokesperson Manelisi Wolela denied that the prison was having a bath installed exclusively for Pistorius.

Apparently renovations started months before Oscar was sentenced, and were due to be finished on May 31st.

It’s not all doom and gloom though, with a fellow inmate, a Czech fugitive, sharing birthday cake. Another even had the decency to flood the EF section, essentially giving the guys a swimming pool for the afternoon. #Chaos.

Oscar has been encouraged to speak with the prison councillor, as he has cried on occasion.
