It’s an exclusive club few black people have had much desire to join over the years – but the white supremacist organisation Ku Klux Klan is to throw open its doors to all races, with a ‘rebranding’ as ‘the new Klan’.

Previously, the secretive right-wing group has been notorious for racist violence, including the lynchings of black people.

The new KKK group, the Rocky Mountain Knights, will be open to black people, people of Hispanic origin, Jews and gay people – but members will still have to wear white robes and indulge in some weird rituals.

The only requirements for joining are that wannabe Klansmen are 18, and live in the Pacific Northwest.

Surprisingly some black people have already expressed interest in joining, after founder John Abarr organised a summit with civil rights groups.

Abarr says, ‘The KKK is for a strong America. White supremacy is the old Klan. This is the new Klan.’

It’s like, sorry we victimized and killed your parents and grandparents but let’s all sit down and have a cup of tea and burn a few crosses.
