Nomboniso Gasa took to Twitter this week to give a 34-tweet lesson to #WhitePeople. She isn’t talking about every white person in South Africa, just the ones who can’t seem to accept our rainbow nation.

Calling this group “arrogant and ignorant”, Gasa launched into her opinions…

Firstly, she defines who #WhiteTwitter is:

Whilst Gasa is a researcher and analyst on gender, politics and culture in South Africa, and often takes to Twitter to give “multi-part Twitter lectures”, some of her tweets you need to read twice to understand. But basically you’ll get the gist of it.

Gasa addresses the people who think that only white people built South Africa, and explains that it was built by ALL of our ancestors. She also goes on to tweet about tax payers and the people who breastfed the white babies.

Is it all too much? I don’t take offense to it because I know that I am not one of the #WhitePeople she is addressing. Other people will see it in a totally different light though.
