Victoria’s Secret’s ‘Perfect Body’ Ads Are Causing Havoc

There's a lot of flack for companies using girls that are "too skinny" and not "real" enough for your average person out there. But look, we hardly want to be staring at fat people in lace.

Victoria’s Secret is being given a lashing again for another campaign of theirs.

The latest from the pro-supermodel company looks as such:

And, my goodness, people are freaking out.

Victoria’s Secret (VS) has a range called “Body”, and their Love Your “Body” campaign is causing more heat than the Angels.

Look, it’s badly worded and can be taken the wrong way by sensitive people. But I don’t think they were intentionally trying to piss people off. The ad is being compared to those of Dove’s Real Beauty campaign.

An underwear company called Dear Kate has had much to say about VS’s campaign.

“As if women need a reminder of our society’s homogenous definition of beauty, the ad features ten models with almost identical body shapes. The creators of the ad probably didn’t think twice about the message it is sending, and to us, it’s irresponsible marketing.”

There’s even a petition in the UK with 16 000 signatures.

Just a small reminder that summer is here. We are not saying that a little junk-in-the-trunk is a bad thing, but there are some of you who’d like to shred some winter cushioning. If Herbex is your thing, get it HERE with some rad deals.
