What do you do when you’re disgruntled with your already-ridiculous-yet-lovable-in-a-funny-way leader gets a little too big for his boots? Make a new party, of course.
Wonder Sentimile, the leader of the ‘New EFF’, which is comprised of several other disgruntled EFF members, has said that the original EFF (why didn’t they just use a new name, this is getting silly) is rife with “dictatorship”.
According to Sentimile, any attempts from members outside the top ranks of the EFF to challenge the party’s direction are “shouted down”.
Inside the EFF, he [Malema] doesn’t allow us to bring up issues of concern – so they don’t give any chance to anyone to question their decisions.
We had a lot of meetings where we found that the leaders of the province, we just listened to them without being given a chance to speak. If people want to speak they are being threatened.
Sentimile has said that the original EFF aims of emancipating the people have been lost.
All those goals and objectives have been forgotten about. They said they had a vision that they would give to South Africa and to the world. A programme, a commitment. They have changed totally. Now this is a movement of self-enrichment.
