Which is why this is terrifying – a man in Hong Kong has been found with two dead women in his apartment. The 29-year-old Merrill Lynch equity trader, originally from England, called police, admitting to the murders.

Whilst one woman had been killed on the evening that Rurik Jutting called police, the other body was found inside a suitcase on his 31st-floor balcony. Neighbours had complained about strange smells coming from the apartment.

When compared to Patrick Bateman, Rurik is not far off.

Thankfully there were no broken bottles and rodents involved. There were, however, sex toys and cocaine.
