The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, has told the world that he is gay. And that’s awesome.
“While I have never denied my sexuality, I haven’t publicly acknowledged it either, until now. So let me be clear: I’m proud to be gay, and I consider being gay among the greatest gifts God has given me.”
It just goes to show that people who think there is “something wrong” with being gay are silly. It makes no difference. He is still human, still the CEO of the world’s most valuable and influential company, and still full of insight.
He was also named “the most powerful gay person by Out magazine in 2013, and attended Silicon Valley’s gay pride this summer”.
It will be interesting to see how the Samsung competition reacts to this news. Will their CEO suddenly come out and be more gay than Tim?
