Microsoft has jumped on the bandwagon with its new health-oriented wearable, the Microsoft Band, and also released a new companion app, Microsoft Health, to go with the new device.
According to Microsoft, the band helps “you keep track of things like your heart rate, steps, calories burned, and sleep.”
The band will cost $199 (around R2,185), which is a fair bit cheaper compared to the Apple Watch due out next year, which starts at $349 (around R3,830)
