Steve Hofmeyr posted this tweet a few days ago, and obviously received an onslaught of reactions from South Africans, being called a racist and stupid.
Also, Steve had to return a car that was lent to him by Williams Hunt in Port Elizabeth. The PE dealership always lends Steve a car when he is performing in town. I doubt they will be doing him any favours in the future.
Journalist Mandy de Waal had this to say:
“Neuroscientists at Groote Schuur, Cape Town’s premier academic hospital, today admitted that they were baffled about how alleged author, singer and self-styled Afrikaner saviour Steve Hofmeyr had existed for more than 50 years without a brain.”
Steve has explained though that his “evidence to his theory is Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema’s recent tussle with a white customer at a fast food outlet”. He then goes on to tweet that the “country’s crime rate is a possible reason why people separate themselves from black people”.
