I think everyone should be taking offense to this. There is absolutely no reason at all to put ANY animal’s chopped off head into the food section of ANY store.

Obviously Woolies (the great store of wonderful things!) is under attack again, this time from the Congress of SA Students (COSAS).

“A press statement issued by Cosas Western Cape chairperson Siphakamise Ngxowa declared that Cosas ‘will not allow people who will not eat pork to pretend that they are eating clean meat, when it is sold by hands dripping with the blood of Palestinian children.”

Once again I will ask this: surely not every Israeli in Israel (or every Jew in the world for that matter) is trying to kill the people of Gaza?

Paula Disberry, group director of retail operations at Woolies has said that “Woolworths is appalled by this incident. Placing a pig’s head in our store is unacceptable and offensive to our employees and customers, including Jewish and Muslim employees and customers”.
