As is the annual tradition which has been running for at least 7 years, it is 2oceansvibe who decides when Summer is open. No external forces (including ‘seasons’ and all that rubbish) influence the decision. Rather, we use a highly scientific algorithm, which mixes the general mood, in conjunction with the upcoming weather forecast.
We usually ‘call it’ in October – this year is two days ahead of 2012’s declaration and eight days ahead of last year. 2011 was quite early in October. It doesn’t really matter when we call it, as long as the week following the declaration is full of sun and heat – which this week clearly is – check this out:
