I honestly was not expecting this from Will.i.am, so clearly I have been living with my head under a largeish rock.
The singer has revealed his “voice-controlled wristband smartphone” in San Francisco. Called the Puls, Will says it is “not a watch, but a cuff”.
The Puls has the ability to make calls, play music and videos; and post to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, all without the need of a smartphone. The device is voice controlled, and holds Siri’s new baby sister, known as AneedA.
An onscreen keyboard overcomes the challenge of small keys with software that accurately guesses words that are being typed within a few taps.
Will.i.am says the Puls will be available in time for the holidays.
