THIS PLACE.
Have you added it to your bucket list yet?
This is Isla Redonda, off the coast of Mexico, and this beautiful beach is said to have been where “Father Sun and Mother Ocean united”.
Carved out of volcanic rock, Dr. Benjamin Black, a volcanologist and post-doctoral scholar at the University of California, Berkley, says this is very rare to see.
But is this a natural phenomenon, or man made? Before the Marietas Islands became a part of Mexico’s national park system, they were used for bombing practice.
Anyway, not to worry about erosion just yet and panicking about your next holiday destination:
“A few thousand years remain before erosion eats away at the delicate structure, turning the hidden beach into a crescent-moon cove.”
So you can still do your Ski vacation this Christmas and then head to Mexico next winter.
Over 300 people visit the beach a day, according to a nearby hotel, and access is gained by “submarine tunnel that is naturally chiseled into the island’s side”.
It’s all so mysterious and magical!
