Economically speaking, Finland is going through some tough times, and fingers are already being pointed to one company in particular: Apple.
Finland says the reason Apple is big culprit is due to the US tech company overtaking Nokia, which was Finland’s pride and joy.
“The iPhone killed Nokia, and the iPad killed the paper industry, but we’ll make a comeback,” Finnish Prime Minister Alexander Stubb told CNBC on Monday.
Nokia, which was bought out by Microsoft recently, has been in a steady decline in the last couple years, but the company is set to undergo a rebranding under the new Microsoft banner.
