A London restaurant has unveiled the “world’s most expensive burger” – costing $1,800 (around R20,116) – because who wants to eat a cheap burger anyway?
The burger, named the Glamburger, contains Kobe Wagyu beef, New Zealand venison, Canadian lobster, maple syrup-coated bacon, black truffle brie, beluga caviar and a hickory smoked duck egg. They are stacked between a gold leaf coated brioche bun that is laced with Japanese matcha and cream mayonnaise, garnished with mango and champagne jus and sprinkled with grated white truffle.
The Glamburger is available from Honky Tonk in London, if you have truckloads of money you don’t really want or need.
