With Hong Kong taking the headline seat this week, it was very poor timing for this young lass to do what she did on social media.
Firstly, Leung Chun-ying, the leader of Hong Kong, has refused to resign, as pro-democracy protests run rife.
“Tens of thousands have taken to the streets in the last week to demand full democracy, including a free voting system when they come to choose a new leader in 2017.”
So what did this dear leader’s daughter do? Darling Leung Chai-yan replied to a post on Facebook about her jewelry saying:
“The necklace on my profile pic is not a dog collar, silly!!!” she said. “This is actually a beautiful necklace bought at Lane Crawford (yes – funded by all you HK taxpayers!! So are all my beautiful shoes and dresses and clutches!! Thank you so much!!!!)”.
Then, to make matters even worse on an already pretty shitty situation, she decided to address the non-taxpayers/unemployed:
“Actually maybe I shouldn’t say ‘all you’- since most of you here are probably unemployed hence all this time obsessed with bombarding me with messages”. She later said, “It’s ok, your mother still loves you”.
Well played timed to aggravate an already delicate situation.
