Netropolitan. The new social network for rich people. Because, eew, free stuff is awful and I need to swipe daddy’s AmEx.
Manhattan-based composer James Touchi-Peters certainly thought a new network was necessary. It costs $9 000 to join, and this includes the annual $3 000 fee. But for every year after, prepare to fork out another $3 000.
“You can create groups, have conversations about everything from fine wines to classic cars to vacation destination recommendations.”
Thank God. I would loathe for anyone to not know about my last trip, via a resurrected Concorde that circled the Eiffel Tower 18 times, to a never before visited island in the Pacific. The horror.
Mr Touchi-Peters reminds users that Netropolitan is not a concierge service, and it will “not find you tickets to sold out shows”.
So what does it do? It lets you chat to people and do things much like Facebook allows, but without advertising.
