It would be fairly odd, when expecting something to be the shape of a small bear, for it to actually look exactly like a penis.
Interesting.
Or less interesting, I suppose, when your eight-year old daughter is eating the candies.
Barrie Aburn got a surprise when his daughters bought him a bag of gummy bears as a present, and the bears were penis shaped.
”You have to look at it two or three times to think that doesn’t look right.”
The candies were imported from China and sent to shops on New Zealand’s South island. Soon after hitting the shelves, reports and complaints about the shape of the gums started coming in. Some ‘adult’ bears were included with the ‘baby’ bears.
“In Asia, the shape was considered a sign of fertility and health.”
The candies have since been recalled, and the manufacturer has refunded some money.
