It is reported that former police commissioner Bheki Cele is planning to approach the Constitutional Court to ask that the defamation of politicians by the media be stopped.
Cele has also approached the court “regarding the lack of a remedy in law for politicians subjected to indignity and defamation by the media”.
This is all because of Cele’s defamation case in 2007 against The Sowetan.
“His head from one photograph was superimposed onto the photo of another person holding a handgun.”
Maybe we can all get ready for some more great images in the papers?
