Oh, the tragedy.
It seems the latest season of Big Brother Africa has seen its fair share of problems, but Tuesday definitely saw their biggest obstacle yet when the Big Brother house in Highlands North, Joburg, burnt down.
The new season was set to start this Sunday, September 7, but has had to be delayed. Endemol and MNet are now looking for a new house where the show can be filmed, but it’s not that easy.
“This production has highly technical infrastructure, alternative camera and edit requirements are not immediately available.”
The cause of the fire is not yet known, and no one was injured.
Big Brother Africa Hotshots, as this season will be called, has been highly affected by South Africa’s new visa regulations. Contestants that had been chosen from Ghana had to be replaced with Ghanian’s already living in South Africa, whilst Rwanda and Sierra Leone had to be discarded as countries involved.
