Islamic State have released a video of the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff, who disappeared in Syria in 2013. He then appeared in the beheading video of James Foley.

Last week, Shirley Sotloff, Steven’s mother, plead with the leader of IS to let her innocent son free.

“The executioner appears to be the same person. The location of the two killings also appears to be similar.”

In the latest heart-wrenching video, called “A Second Message to America”, the captor speaks to Obama.

“I’m back, Obama, and I’m back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State. Just as your missiles continue to strike our people, our knife will continue to strike the necks of your people.”

The end of the video then sees IS threaten the life of David Haines, a British captive.

The similarities between the James Foley video and the Steven Sotloff video are uncanny, with SITE Intelligence saying it is the same IS fighter.
