Rolf Harris, the Australian musician, painter and all-round entertainer, was sentenced to prison in June 2014 for the indecent assault of four young girls, between the ages of eight and nineteen.
Which is why it is not ideal that Aussie football player Dean Terlich donned “an eccentric coat, grey facial hair and glasses to dress up” as the convicted star. Terlich’s teammate, Alex Georgiou, dressed up in pigtails and girl’s dress.
The pair decided this was apt costume for Mad Monday, a celebration for the end of football season. Needless to say they are now the centre of a massive controversy.
In 2008, a player dressed up as Hitler (this didn’t go down well) and in 2010, a player quit his club after being caught in a “sex act with a dog”. One would think wearing those hideously short shorts would be enough radical dress-up. Clearly not.
