Protestors Set Buses Alight In Nyanga

Nice way to start the start week - burning busses in Nyanga will definitely fix the problems of the The South African National Taxi Council.

Things are quite literally heating up in Nyanga, Cape Town, today.

Since 06h30 this morning, 11 Golden Arrow busses have been set alight at the Nyanga bus terminus.

The South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) is protesting that traffic fines are too high. Funny. If the taxi drivers just drove properly they would not have any fines to complain about. Simple as that.

Santaco won’t confirm if any of its drivers were involved in the setting alight of busses. Fire trucks were called to the scene and thankfully there have been no fatalities. Some bus drivers have reportedly been physically attacked.
