The Lowe family are very much a part of the 2oceansvibe family, and they have put together a one-night extravaganza to raise funds for Jenna. The mind-blowing auction includes a weekend at Grootbos. Check it out!
Top local and international entertainers on one stage, for one night, for one extraordinary young woman.
September heralds the start of spring – and what better time to celebrate life and an inspirational cause? The Jenna Lowe Trust is hosting a fabulous fundraiser to cover the medical costs for this brave teenager awaiting a bilateral lung transplant, as well as to raise awareness of the desperate need for organ donors in South Africa.
Jenna Lowe is a 19 year old Capetonian who suffers from the little-known and life-threatening condition called Primary Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. This is when you have excessively high blood pressure in the veins and arteries of your lungs; a life-threatening condition for which there is no cure. Treatment is difficult and expensive, especially in South Africa. And when treatment fails to improve a patient’s condition, the only alternative is a lung transplant.
One organ donor can save seven lives; this is the closest most of us will come to being superheroes! Jenna desperately needs a lung transplant, along with 4 300 other South Africans are also awaiting organ transplants. This is your chance to dress to dazzle at a glamorous evening of music, dance and stand-up comedy; and in doing so, to help Jenna have a second chance at life.
The compere for this one-time event is the marvellous Marianne Thamm, with Alan Committee, Brendan van Rhyn (Frank n Furter), Suanne Braun, Kim Kallie, Kristi Lowe, Albert Combrink, Anecdote, Cape Town Dance Company, Zip Zap Circus, the Masiphumelele Chamber Choir and more making up the spectacular ensemble.
The evening’s auction has a bunch of spectacular items, including a weekend for two at Grootbos, valued at R18,800!
Tickets include complementary canapés on arrival. All proceeds will go to The Jenna Lowe Trust.
