We all know the benefits, but have you ever given any serious thought and attention to how easy it is to buy a Vespa and, especially, what you save once you have it?

The kind of person that doesn’t have to say what he earns, what he drives, where he stays or when last he has been abroad. Driving a Vespa automatically give you that “cred”.

You can whip through traffic like a hot knife through butter. Everyday when you sit in even the smallest traffic jam, and the two-wheel drivers come zipping past your window, we’ve all thought the same thing at some stage: “Dayaam, I wish I had a Vespa to do that.”

Another massive (and probably the biggest) bonus is the fuel efficiency – you can literally buy a Vespa with the monies you’ll save driving a Vespa…

Not quite sure what I mean? Let me make it more clear: I drive an Isuzu KB300 – This is quite the fuel efficient bakkie. I get up to 11km/L on the open road and a casual 10km/L in the city. On average I drive about 60km to work and back, cruising to the beach for a lunch time surf sesh (yes, that’s how we do it here at 2oceansvibe), or just the general business meeting.

60km per day at 10km/L – fuel is up and down around R13.92/L – I spend about R2 506 ONLY ON FUEL a month…

Can you even?

If I cruise on my Vespa: 60km per day at 38km/L – with fuel at R13,92/L, it will only cost me R659 a month…

I SAVE R1 847 PER MONTH.

You can get a Vespa from R1 500 a month… So basically, what I am succeeding to tell you is that you can pull your beloved tjor into the garage, purchase a Vespa and still have an extra buck to buy yourself a Grolsch or two…or three.
