Steve Hofmeyr has a new album due for release next month, and he has added a highly requested song: Die Stem.
The song will feature Steve singing, accompanied by guitar and a recording of the 40 000 people who sang along to Die Stem at the Innibos festival in Mbombela earlier this year.
“I am just sorry I could not track Neelsie [CJ Langenhoven] himself down for a duet.”
Die Stem was written by CJ Langenhoven as South Africa’s apartheid-era national anthem.
