A blue lobster has been caught!
A Maine lobsterman, Jay LaPlante, has caught the one-in-two million lobster. This very rare blue coloured lobster is caused by a genetic mutation.
“It’s the first time he has caught a blue lobster.”
LaPlante’s daughter, Meghan, has named the lobster Skylar (cute). It has been donated to the Maine State Aquarium where it will join three other blue lobsters, and hopefully together they will make little blue lobster babies.
