Sean Penn decided to get out of town for his 54th birthday, and headed up the coast to have lunch at The Strandloper. Joined by Charlize Theron and her mum Gerda, and baby Jackson, the group was joined by friends and dined on crayfish and other fresh seafoods. The birthday party also brought along a cake.

Sean and Charlize have been living it up in Cape Town for the past few weeks, being spotted at places like the Mount Nelson Hotel and in local yoga classes. They are in town filming Sean’s latest movie, The Last Face.

“Charlize asked me if I minded her son playing with Peanut. She didn’t want him to bother us.”

Baby Jackson played happily with a fellow patrons dog, and everyone had a piece of birthday cake. Sounds like these two celebs have not let fame get to their heads. How refreshing.
