Our country stands to head in a backwards direction because of our sub-standard availability of education. One would only think that our government wants to help the future generations of South Africa, but instead, the opposite is happening. The district education co-ordinator for the Port Elizabeth region, Portia Sizani, helped herself to R1.2million in the 2009/2010 period.
She has clearly been somewhat educated, as she was bright enough to think of a sneaky cover up for the missing money by inventing fake teachers.
December 2012 saw her arrest, but the trial has of course been delayed because obviously she is “ill”.
