They Caught This 450kg Alligator In Alabama [Image]

An Alabama family has managed to nab themselves an absolute monster of an alligator – 1,000 pounds (454 kilograms) to be exact.

The family roped it in by grabbing it with five hooks and wrestling with it, before “firing a fatal shotgun blast into the gator’s head”. Sounds like a fair fight…

“We give all the glory to God. Ten men couldn’t have done what we did,” said John Stokes, one of the men involved in killing the 4.5 metre beast.

The catch is a record for the state, and the family says it will display the creature in the town’s taxidermy shop.
