Yes, your favourite series is soon to be a movie. Just as awesome, and following the dreams of The Office’s David Brent as he embarks on a journey to fulfil his lifelong dream… which of course is not quite what he thought it would be.

Shot documentary-style like the original series, Life on the Road finds Brent working as sales rep for a cleaning products company and endeavouring to finance his own UK tour.

As Gervais explains in a statement, “(Brent) thinks it’ll be like Scorsese filming The Rolling Stones, but it turns out to be a ‘Where are they now?’ documentary. He has to take a few weeks off work and cash in a couple of pensions, because the session musicians in the band are costing him more than he’s getting in ticket sales. Tragic.”

Life on the Road is also likely to feature Office favourites Gareth (Mackenzie Crook) Tim (Martin Freeman) and Dawn (Lucy Davis) and will shoot in the UK in 2015.
