5.3 Earth Tremor Hits Johannesburg

A 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit central South Africa on Tuesday, shaking buildings in the financial capital of Johannesburg.

A strong tremor hit Johannesburg and its surrounding areas this morning, hitting 5.3 on the Richter scale.

The tremor was said to have been felt in Pretoria, Bloemfontein and even Durban.

South Africans around the country have taken to social media to share what they felt and saw, and by everyone’s accounts, it wasn’t a small little rocking.
