Travelling can put a damper on your budget and mood if it’s pricey and rushed, which can make heading to an event like the Durban-July quite an anxiety-inducing excursion.
Cape Town locals don’t need to head all the way across to the subtropical city to get in on the horse-racing/flair-fashion action that comes with the annual Durban July, as Cafe Caprice hosted their very own soiree to celebrate the event; and if you missed it, you missed out.
The swanky Camps Bay July party was hosted in the legendary Caprice cafe, which was transformed from the classic upmarket beach bar into a glamorous fashion and social venue.
The place was decked out with some Durban-July-inspired decor, including giant balloons, fancy hats everywhere, tuxedo-wearing barmen, an open buffet, and, of course, the champagne was flowing.
The event was an awesome success and the best news is: it’s going to be an annual shindig. So don’t get left out of the Durban-July spirit just because you can’t make it to KZN’s big bash.
