Red Bull seems to always be at forefront of any sport’s progression, and the first-ever Red Bull Aces cross-race was held last week – which basically pits some crazy thrill-seekers against one another in a wingsuit-battle to the finish.
Yeah, it’s as awesome as it sounds.
USA’s Andy Farrington was crowned the winner of the inaugural event, with second place going to Noah Bahnson (USA) and our very-own Julian Boulle (South Africa) coming in third. Big ups to SA!
The event requires jumpers to race down a slalom course through four stationary gates that started with a leap from the back hatch of a sky van airplane at 7,000 feet, reaching speeds of up to 217 km/h.
