Aaand the molly-coddling strikes again! There are some ad campaigns that do push the boundaries a little while perhaps should’ve been more carefully thought out before so much money was spent on creating them. This ad… well take a look and see whether you think it falls into this category.
The latest YouTube ad, which promoted the [Jaguar] F-Type coupe, was titled “The Art of Villainy” and explored why British actors play the best villains.
It featured [Tom] Hiddleston discussing what makes a great villain and revving the car in an underground car park before driving off at speed and quoting Shakespeare’s Richard II.
A complaint was laid that this ad promoted irresponsible driving, and the Advetising Standards Authority agreed! Have they ever seen an advert for a sports car before?
Maybe we are missing something. Take a look and tell us, is this a naughty advert?
