It’s officially here – arguably the biggest sporting weekend of the year. Not only do we get treated to the final round of the Super Rugby conference stage, but we also get the 2014 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday – four years in the making.
In terms of the local Super Rugby action, Friday evening sees the Bulls up against the Rebels, who were defeated by the Lions last week in Johannesburg. Both the Bulls and Rebels are out of finals contention, so this will purely be an encounter of pride – nonetheless, it will undoubtedly be a try-scoring spectacle. Place your pre-match bets on the Bulls v Rebels game.
Continuing the on-going coastal rivalry, the Stormers will be taking on the Sharks. It will be the final game of the season for the Stormers after missing out on a higher log position to qualify for the playoffs, but following their win over the Bulls, they’ll be looking to wrap up their season on a high. The Sharks however need the biggest win as they can get heading into the do-or-die playoff stage. Place your pre-match bet on the Stormers v Sharks game.
Both Super Rugby fixtures will have In-Play betting active, so you can jump in and place your bets during the game.
The World Cup final will be the other must-watch match of the weekend, with the unstoppable German attack meeting the tactical brilliance of Argentina. Following Germany’s 7-1 victory over Brazil, they will be flying high, however, they are well aware that Argentina poses a very different threat than that of Brazil.
Argentina proved excellent in defence against the Netherlands, and have shown that they have their penalty shootout tactics drilled down to an art, so could it be time for another South American World Cup victory, or will the Germans finally get their trophy after years of coming close?
Put your pre-match bet in for the World Cup final, and also remember that there’s In-Play betting active during the game.
