Bravery can sometimes come in the most unexpected ways, even a bikini selfie.

Bethany Townsend has created an internet buzz after posting a picture of herself in her bikini, along with her two colostomy bags.

Bethany has suffered from Crohn’s disease for more than 20 years and has now helped create discussion and awareness around the condition.

I’m just so glad that it’s brought about more awareness of Crohn’s disease and it’s made me feel so much more confident about the colostomy bags.

If I can inspire or help other people in my position to feel a little more comfortable in their own skin then I’m really happy.
