It’s finally here. The preliminary rounds of the 2014 FIFA World Cup have come to an end and it’s now time for the final 16 teams in the tournament to go big or go home.
A lot of contenders (or so we thought) have dropped out of the tournament. The likes of England, Spain and Italy are all out of contention, but there are some interesting teams and darkhorses that will go head-to-head this weekend.
Chile will be taking on the mighty favourites, Brazil, in their own backyard, while Colombia will be up for a serious fight when the face Uruguay on Saturday. Sunday’s action sees Costa Rica, who have been playing brilliant football, challenge Greece, while last tournament’s finalists, the Netherlands, encounter Mexico, which will undoubtedly be a quality game.
There are also a huge selection of exotic bet types for the World Cup under “FIFA World Cup Outrights”, if you’re looking to get a bit “alternative” with your betting chances.
Not only do you have the chance to win some serious cash, but there’s also a competition to win a plasma TV by betting a minimum of R250..
In the weekend’s RUGBY action, we see the return of Super Rugby, with the Australian and New Zealand teams getting the tournament back on track with some massive Australasian derbies that you can bet on. There are also Super Rugby Flashpots to bet on.
But let’s not also forget, the Boks still have a job to finish, and will face Scotland in PE to round off the Incoming Test Series.
And of course, the TENNIS world will be treated to some Wimbledon action this weekend, with some big match-ups happening over the next couple of days. You can place your bets for these matches here.
Remember, there is also the chance to do IN-PLAY betting for both the rugby and football while the games are on, so check out the IN-PLAY betting options on your PC and/or mobile.
