Troublesome celebrity relationships are not exclusive to Hollywood, as one of Bollywood’s most-followed couples are in some rocky waters at the moment.
Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has accused her now ex-boyfriend and business partner Ness Wadia of manhandling, abusing and threatening her.
Zinta, adored by the Indian public, has filed a complaint against Wadia, claming that she was abused following an argument the two had while watching their cricket team, Kings XI Punjab, play the Chennai Super Kings back in May.
“I left for my seat, but he (Ness) came up to me at my seat and started screaming and abusing me in front of everyone,” reads Zinta’s statement.
Of course, there are two sides to every story, and Wadia claims that the abuse allegations are “baseless” and that he has received calls from Indian underworld mafia boss don Ravi Pujari, telling him to leave Pinta alone, or else…
Film critics and commentators in India have said that the shattered relationship has exposed the sinister reality behind Bollywood’s glamour – namely, the involvement of gangsters and the widespread abuse of women actresses.
