A local real estate agency has released a new advert that couldn’t have come at a better time. Seriously, just one day after Juju’s speech following Jacob Zuma’s state of the nation address, Vineyard Estates has dropped a pearl of an ad, playing right into the notion of “emigration” that people tend to throw around when things are looking a little bleak.
The alarmingly obvious, yet brilliant visual references are a clear poke at the EFF, and the political party’s response? Well, they’re quite chuffed with the flattering “imitation” and see themselves as trend-setters.
“You can’t help it, the EFF has the capacity and ability to really set off a lot of things that people do in relation to us,” spokesman Mbuyiseni Ndlozi told Sapa.
“During the elections the ANC wore red berets and the DA wore blue berets. That is the trend that we set, whether they use it wrongly or rightly – that’s what happens when you are in the public eye.”
