The World Cup can be the ultimate platform to showcase your skills to the world, but it can also be a stage to highlight cringe-worthy sporting blunders. It’s only taken less than a week, but we now have one of the worst straight from Brazil.
Russian goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev scored one of the best headers of the tournament so far, unfortunately, it was into his own goal.
Akinfeev was unable to control a pretty direct shot from a South Korean shot, which slipped out his hands, bounced on his head, and snuck into the goal.
