As President Zuma entered parliament, praise-singing and ululation could be heard echoing through parliament. Everyone was dressed to the nines with traditional formal dress and it was paraded up and down the red carpet.
This is how the EFF managed to sneak in, clad in red overalls and hard-hats.
They were, however, jovial and cheeky in their defiance and seemed in good spirits, although the bright red made it all the more noticeable when they did not stand up to welcome the president with everyone else.
