With every World Cup, comes a controversy surrounding the building of stadiums.

If you thought that we had a lot of heat with regards to our sporting grounds during the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Brazil is no different and getting a lot of grief too.

The $3.6 billion (around R38 billion) used on building the 12 stadiums has raised some concerns, but just like in SA, there’s no denying that the football grounds are as striking and impressive as ever.
