The winter has well and truly set in and the season of hibernation is upon us. This means carefully packing away your summer party gear and investing in some good, fluffy pajamas. It also means you have a couple of months of coats and layers, and no-one will really notice if you had that extra dessert last night while nestled under the covers.
One of our personal favourites has to be malva pudding: warm and steamy, soaked in that decadent butter sauce, slathered with custard/ice-cream/cream/all of the above.
Yea, you like that, don’t you?
But mommy doesn’t always live close enough to bake you this little indulgence, so we have a few other suggestions for you which might just hit the spot, and will probably leave you with less to work off when you decide hibernation is finally over and the season of sundowners and swimming is once again upon us.
The new Fair Cape Pannacotta is a rich and creamy dairy base, topped with a smooth butterscotch sauce – perfect for an after dinner treat. Or even for breakfast – it’s mostly milk and a little sugar, basically the same as cereal.
Even better to kick-start your miserable Monday mornings or round off a winter-warmer for dinner, is the Guava layered custard cup. It is decadence, disguised as fruit! Why wouldn’t you love that?
Just because we know that winter is the time to save cash rather than splurge on dessert, 2 Oceans Vibe Radio is offering you the chance to win enough dessert to see you through winter! If you tweet @faircapedairies your favourite dessert (from their range of course) you could win a dessert hamper.
Mmmmm a whole basket of desserts… now that is how you survive the cold!
